Halloween is Coming! HA HA HA!

Good Morning WordPress Peeps. I know how we all hate Mondays. I actually look forward to them. It’s my motivation day to begin new projects. As you may or may not be aware of, I am in Halloween mode year round. Our home is decorated here and there with Halloween and spooky. It is the drive behind my scary books and it surrounds my day to day life. This year, since our home is stucco and you can’t hammer nails into the outside walls, I have decided this is the best way to decorate for the holiday. Even though there is so much to do out here on the strip, it’s of course adult in nature, we want to stay home for the kids. I fill a small laundry basket with all sorts of toys that I purchase from the Oriental Trading Company, then off to the dollar store because they have the wax lips and fangs and gummy body part candy that the kids love. I also buy mini coloring books for the very young ones. We have so much fun for the three hours I spend outside dressed in costume. Andrew also dresses up and walks the neighborhood scaring the children.

Cutting the Cable Cord

So a topic on cutting the cable cord. We have Roku boxes throughout the house. Thanks to my son in law, I found a way to get even more channels added to the box that Roku doesn’t tell you about. Now I can get all the local channels on an app called Channel Pear. You can opt for the free subscription which will limit you to maybe four apps, or you can pay $24.99 for the YEAR, yes the YEAR and watch as many television apps as you want.

So last night I was watching the BBC Three Musketeers 2013 version. They have a 24/7 app for many shows including cartoons. So for me, it was well worth the $24.99 price because I love TV and I’m not ashamed to say it. I have a television in every room including the master bathroom where I have a portable Dvd player instead because I enjoy soaking in the tub with a nice glass of choco vine.

I also found another channel for XD, that also has many shows and movies to watch plus cartoons. Today I am adding Kodi yes I was out of the loop on that one too. You can get that through Amazon fire stick, They have youtube “how to” videos that are easy to follow. I had mine hooked up in three minutes.
